The impact of musculoskeletal disorders on work and home life Print E-mail

The Work Foundation logoAn in-depth report has been published by The Work Foundation at Lancaster University that highlights the issues surrounding musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) and makes recommendations regarding how best to manage the condition in the workplace and at home.  The report also addresses how people with a MSD may be affected by the government's new welfare reforms, and the steps that need to be taken by interested stakeholders. It's a very interesting read not only for anyone with a MSD, but also for their families, friends and employers. You can access a PDF copy of the report here.

Our latest testimonial! Print E-mail

Jill Duffy, a user of the Maltron 3D Ergonomic keyboard for 18 years opted for the 'dual engraved' key top with Maltron as the primary layout as she found this helped her with recovery from RSI whilst also increasing her typing speed and output. It also gave her the opportunity to allow her colleagues to switch very easily to the more conventional Qwerty layout should they need to use her keyboard. Here's Jill's story:

"In 1994, I developed severe RSI in both wrists.  While at home on sick leave from work, I read a magazine article about Maltron keyboards.  I contacted them and arranged to hire one to see if it would be of any benefit to me.

Maltron Interactive disc

We are pleased to announce an interactive resource disc that we are now sending out with all new Maltron ergonomic keyboards. Traditionally, we have supplied printed manuals, etc., with our keyboards but there was much more useful and supportive information that we wanted to provide and it was not practical to issue it in printed form. As a consequence of this, we developed the interactive disc which contains all the information you are likely to need in support of your new keyboard. On it, you will find user guides, key layout diagrams, display screen and ergonomic information, training courses, warranty information and more - all presented in an easy-to-find format.

If you have received one of the new discs we'd love to know what you think of it and would welcome your feedback, so please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Jeremy LeFroy visits PCD Maltron

On 6th October 2011 we were visited by the MP for Stafford, Jeremy LeFroy. The visit served two purposes, firstly to showcase the success of our recent Turkish order and secondly to discuss how small businesses may better serve their community, and the government help that is available for small businesses in the UK.

Jeremy is actively involved in building ties between local businesses, and thereby enabling more trade between them.
