The convenience of a Laptop computer brings with it an increased risk of developing RSI.  The small keyboard and need to be “hunched” over it is the cause.  While this use cannot be avoided “ in the field”, back at base it should not be accepted. 

The increased RSI risk is easily cleared by putting the Laptop on an Ultra support and using a Maltron keyboard for input.  The Ultra, which folds flat, opens out to hold the body of the Laptop at around 45 degrees so that the screen is at a comfortable (strain free) viewing height.  The Maltron keyboard is then placed in front.  The Laptop body now acts as a document holder and the complete group makes a risk free workstation.
