J89 Letter Layout - Two-handed Maltron Keyboard.

During the last 25 years more than 2,000 keyboard users have now successfully used a standard Maltron two-handed fully-ergonomic keyboard to recover from keyboard induced pain.

The new J89 layout version updates our existing proven design with new key layouts for the Maltron "E Type" two-handed keyboard model.

This provides a familiar layout for users upgrading from older model Maltron Keyboards and minimises relearning key positions.

Dual engraved key tops are optionally available for users who need to be able to change between the two installed layouts.

All key positions are specifically mapped in the keyboard irrespective of layout selected, no additional setup is required in the computer in order to use the keyboard.

All Maltron keyboards also contain an alternative Qwerty key place map which can be selected by the user.

Benefits of the Maltron Fully Ergonomic Keyboard.

• Two key groups for letters with a central number group keep wrists straight and strain free.

• Thumb groups with double height key for space and return (left return is the E with the Maltron Letter layout).  

• Central numbers suit both left & right handed users.

• The letter keys are angled inwards to match natural finger movements and the keys for the longer fingers are recessed further to reduce finger "cramping" and provide a more relaxed hand posture.

• Large palm pads give a comfortable resting and relaxing zone for hands and arms during “thinking time”, to encourage blood flow and recovery.

The MALTRON fully ergonomic keyboards have been shown to relieve the symptoms of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) in hundreds of cases and has enabled many RSI sufferers to resume their careers.
