When practicing common words remember that these words will be at the heart of your everyday keying. So keying them quickly is very important AND keying them without looking at your hands is very important AND keying them accurately too. (Looking at your hands will stop you reaching your top keying speeds.)
If you are not tired then it is worth repeating the above exercises trying to key as fast as possible (ignoring your errors).
If you are making a lot of errors then try fingering the keys first.
An alternative exercise is to try to key using as little force on the keys as possible so that your hands learn how to get these words with the least effort possible. If you are tired, you could stop now and return later, or tomorrow.
